Presenting: This is the stage of this year's contest!

27 July 2010 at 00:56 CEST

It was just recently when the stage for the upcoming show in Minsk was discussed. Ulf Mårtensson, stage designer from Sweden, got his inspiration from the logo of this year's show. Namely, there will be a total of five eight-meters high constructions in the form of wings.

"The idea is to make all elements of the stage bright and colorful. We use a lot of lights. Under every big wing we put lights in the color of the logo," he says.

As another surprise, for the first time in the history of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, there will be a lot of people on the sets behind the stage. They will support all the young stars in coloured T-shirts and flags. So, even the audience will be involved in every performance!

"One more secret: we want to involve the hosts in the whole show. They'll be on the stage during the contest: dancing and singing together with the participants. But on their own stage," the stage designer continues.

Check out more about the stage from an introduction by the designer himself below!

Even though the stage design is near completion, it'll be built in the Minsk Arena in the first week of November. The contest itself will be held on the 20th of November, following a week full of rehearsals for the young participants.
