Poland sends Viki Gabor to Junior Eurovision 2019

12-year-old Viki has won 'Szansa na Sukces 2019', Poland's national selection show for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2019.

Viki will perform her song Superhero on 24 November in Gliwice-Silesia. She left Nikola Fiedor and Gabriela Katzer behind her.

Szansa na Sukces 2019, the national selection show comprising of 3 casting rounds and a final, began earlier this month and the Junior Eurovision 2019 hopefuls were chosen. The finalists were:

  • Nikola Fiedor - Bubbles In My Head
  • Viki Gabor - Superhero
  • Gabriela Katzer - On My Way

About Viki

Viki is 12 years old. She was born in Germany, began her education in Great Britain, and is currently living in Poland. In February, she was a finalist of the second edition of The Voice Kids in Poland. Her debut single Time, released in February 2019, has almost 2,500,000 views on YouTube and has been remixed by international artists such as Shanguy and Melo Kids.

Viki is currently working on new music while continuing her studies. The young artist is inspired by global pop stars such as Ariana Grande, Jessie J, Shawn Mendes, Whitney Houston and Beyonce.

Poland in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest

Poland was one of the original participants in the very first Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Copenhagen, Denmark, in 2003 and have taken part four times over the years.

The country participated in 2003 and 2004, and then resumed their participation in 2016 when they achieved their best result to date, 11th place for Nie zapomnij performed by Olivia Wieczorek. In 2018, they won the competition with Anyone I Want To Be by Roksana Węgiel.
