Matheu won the final of the Dutch selection for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2019 with 36 points.

The 13-year-old singer will travel to Gliwice-Silesia, Poland in November to perform his song Dans Met Jou (Dance With You).

The points

The final result is the sum of the verdict from 2 juries and a national televote.

Expert jury

The first jury is an expert jury consisting of singers Kaj van der Voort, Tabitha and Edsilia Rombley (Eurovision Song Contest 1998 & 2007).

Kids jury

The second is a kids jury consisting of Max & Anne, who represented the Netherlands last year at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2018 in Minsk, and Anna, who placed second in the Dutch national final in 2018.

An act could receive 8, 9, 10 or 12 points. Matheu received 12 points from both juries and the televote, making him the unanimous winner of the Dutch national selection with 36 points.

4 acts competed for the spot:

  • Matheu - Dans Met Jou (36 points)
  • 6Times - End Of Time (28 points)
  • MOVES - Make Your Move (27 points)
