Malta has spoken: Ike and Kaya will pack their bags for Paris! The duo will represent the island nation with the song 'My Home'.
The Maltese broadcaster put on a thrilling final which saw 12 acts compete for the honour of attempting Malta’s third victory at Junior Eurovision.
The winners were chosen by a combination of professional jury votes (50%) and televotes (50%).
Ike Mizzi has been involved in the music industry for around 2 years and says that his life has never been better!
For Kaya Gouder Curmi music has been her passion since when she was just 5 years old. She has competed in different festivals, including SanRemo Junior where she placed first in her category.
Together the pair competed in Malta’s Got Talent earlier this year, finishing in fourth place during the live final.
Heading to France, the duo will feel confident of giving their best performance having so much competitive experience.
Malta is one of the most successful countries in Junior Eurovision with two victories to date. Gaia Cauchi won the contest in 2013 with her song The Start and Destiny Chukunyere (who went on to storm Eurovision in Rotterdam) won the contest in 2015 with the song Not My Soul.
