Kazakhstan sends Yerzhan Maxim to Junior Eurovision 2019

Yerzhan Maxim has been picked as Kazakhstan's representative for the 2019 Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Gliwice-Silesia. Yerzhan, who comes from Oral, is twelve years old. He has been taking music classes since 2012, but started singing already at the age of five.

Yerzhan took first place in the 2016 Batumi Dolphin Fest and second place in the 2017 Slavianski Bazaar. He was a finalist in the 2017 San Remo Junior Festival and participated in Kazakhstan's national selection for the 2018 Junior Eurovision Song Contest. He came in second place, after Daneliya Tulesheva. She represented the country in Minsk with her song 'Өзіңе сен (Òzińe Sen)' and placed sixth.
