After debuting in 2018, it is now time to choose the third participant to represent Kazakhstan in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest. Kazakh broadcaster Khabar began accepting applications and confirmed a televised final in September.
Applications are open! Between 10 and 20 August, everyone between the age of 9 and 14 can submit their application. After that, a professional jury selects the 30 best singers and online voting begins. During that time - between 23 and 31 August - the public can vote for the 12 participants they want to see in the national final.
On 26 September, the national selection will be broadcast live on Khabar TV.
Kazakhstan in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest
The first time the country participated in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest was in 2018, when Daneliya Tuleshova represented the country. She sang Өзіңе сен (Òzińe Sen) and placed 6th. One year later, Yerzhan Maxim represented Kazakhstan in Gliwice-Silesia with the song Armanyńnan Qalma and finished in 2nd place.
