Oh là là là! Titouan is hoping to snatch France’s third Junior Eurovision win in a row, and he’s heading to Madrid with his song ‘Comme ci comme ça.’

When it comes to performing, 14-year-old Titouan is more than just “so so.” If you’ve watched his Comme ci comme ça music video you’ll have seen him mastering the piano whilst singing to a train station full of people, and it’s not far from his reality.

The star from Brittany regularly sits down at the piano to perform songs for tens of thousands of Instagram followers.

He’s covered Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody (not the full 6 minute version, although we’re here for that), Elton John’s Your Song and Gnarls Barkley’s Crazy, where he swapped the piano for a guitar. Is there no end to his musical talent?

Titouan is just as comfortable on tv screens as he is on social media. He starred in The Voice Kids with his moving performance of Radiohead’s Creep getting chair turns from all 4 judges, and has also been on DreamTeam.

Comme ci comme ça is an anthem for tolerance and love, with music inspired by pop superstars like Mika, Elton John and Coldplay. It was composed by French-Australian artist Malo’, who has toured across France and had hits in France’s top 30.

The lyrics were penned by Marie Bastide, who has written for musical legends including the Francophone queen herself, Céline Dion.

Titouan loves to make people laugh, and he often plays practical jokes on his two older brothers, who are both very close in age to him.

The trio love singing together too (usually in the back of the car), and one of the first songs they learnt was the theme song from the cartoon Spirit. Let’s hope his brothers have nailed the lyrics for Comme ci comme ça.

This popstar in the making is a huge fan of Michael Jackson’s music, particularly Billie Jean, which is still playing on repeat on his playlist.

At the age of just three, Titouan was doing imitations of the Thriller megastar. Some of his other icons include Freddie Mercury, Elton John, Bruno Mars and Lady Gaga. Titouan clearly loves genre-defining artists with strong vocals, who mix up soaring melodies and fun pop tunes.

This won’t be Titouan’s first trip to Spain. Last year, he spent two weeks exploring the country and one week camping near Alicante. We’ve double checked the Junior Eurovision budget Titouan, and tents are not required for your stay in Madrid. It’s not good for the sequins.

While on his Spanish travels, he loved the architecture in Sevilla, Salamanca and Barcelona. We really hope he checked out the acoustics in the Sagrada Família.

Titouan is busy getting ready for his performance in Madrid, and hopes his song will bring people together.

He said: “I’m happy that this song shows we are rich in our diversity, no matter where we go or what we think. I hope that with every listen, it will make each of us more tolerant, kinder, and more respectful.”
