Ireland chooses Maiú Levi Lawlor 🇮🇪

17 October 2021 at 22:58 CEST
Maiú has triumphed at 'Junior Eurovision Éire' and will represent the Emerald Isle in Paris on Sunday 19 December.

During the Grand Final, Maiú had to perform two cover songs in front of a distinguished panel of judges: Eurovision legend Linda Martin, radio presenter Niamh Ní Chróinín, and Fiachna Ó Braonáin of the band Hothouse Flowers.

Maiú’s winning renditions were Only Love Survives by Ryan Dolan (Ireland’s participant at Malmö 2013) and James Bay’s Hold Back the River, which was enough to beat his competition, Lilyella Buckley and Sophie Lennon, to the trophy and chance to perform in France.

Maiú’s song will be revealed in the coming weeks.
