12 November 2015 at 14:37 CET

About the artist

Shalisa is 15 years old and she comes from the North of The Netherlands. Since she was a little girl, she developped a big passion for music (she plays piano) and singing. Her first experience on stage was taking part in the Dutch version of The Voice Kids. Afterwards, she decided to enter the Dutch National Final for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, the Junior Songfestival. On the 5th October 2015, she was chosen to represent The Netherlands in Sofia after winning the final with top marks from the 3 juries.

She is very looking forward to develop her career and to win the competition as Ralf did back in 2009 with 'Click clack.'

About the song

Her song is called 'Million lights' and she has written it herself together with H. Thomas and J. Griffioen.

A million lights up in the sky,
shining for you
A million lights up in the sky
I know you see them too
And I really know that I
Cannot be with you

'Million lights' tells the story of two people who love each other but unfortunately they are too far away and can't be together, so they keep their special connection through the stars in the sky.
