Going to Gliwice: Meet Yerzhan Maxim from Kazakhstan

With his song ‘Armanyńnan Qalma', Yerzhan Maxim will represent Kazakhstan. This is 'Going to Gliwice', our feature counting down to the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2019 on Sunday 24 November in Gliwice-Silesia, Poland.

About his song, Yerzhan explains: "My song about dreams. If you have difficulties, never lose hope. The whole world will open up for you If you have dreams."

Armanyńnan Qalma is written by Aldabergenov Daniyar and Timur Balymbetov and composed by Khamit Shangaliyev.

About Yerzhan

Yerzhan, who comes from Oral, is 12 years old. He has been taking music classes since 2012, but started singing at the age of five.

Yerzhan Maksim Khabar

Yerzhan already has many accolades to his name. He took first place in the 2016 Batumi Dolphin Fest and second place in the 2017 Slavianski Bazaar. He was a finalist in the 2017 San Remo Junior Festival and participated in Kazakhstan's national selection for the 2018 Junior Eurovision Song Contest. He came in second place, after Daneliya Tulesheva who represented the country in Minsk with her song 'Өзіңе сен (Òzińe Sen)' and placed sixth. Earlier in 2019, Yerzhan was a finalist at The Voice Kids in Russia.
