With his song ‘We Will Rise', Jordan Anthony will represent Australia. This is 'Going to Gliwice', our feature counting down to the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2019 on Sunday 24 November in Gliwice-Silesia, Poland.

About We Will Rise, 14-year-old Jordan said: "When I started writing [my song], it was after my time on The Voice Australia. I was feeling in a really negative place, feeling overwhelmed at school and at home. This song is about knowing that those times of doubt and struggle will pass and there is hope. We just need to draw upon the strength within and from those around us and know that your time will come and we will rise."

We Will Rise was written and composed by Jordan Anthony and MSquared.

About Jordan

Jordan comes from Perth, Western Australia. He has had an ear for music and a passion for singing from a young age; he wrote his first song at the age of 7. Jordan has since developed his skills on the piano and continues to write music he then performs by busking on the streets of Perth. About his passion for music, Jordan says, "Music for me is the ultimate form of expression. When people listen to my songs, I want them to relate and, happy or sad, know that they are not alone".

Jordan's selection

Australian broadcaster ABC announced in early September that Jordan Anthony was their choice to represent the country on 24 November at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2019. Jordan was chosen after rising to fame as the youngest-ever contestant on The Voice. During his time on the show, he received high praise from the judges, including from Australian pop star and former Eurovision Song Contest participant Guy Sebastian who called Jordan's voice 'breathtaking'.
