Get to know Australia's Isabella Clarke

Isabella Clarke is 13 years old and will represent Australia at the 2017 Junior Eurovision Song Contest held on Sunday 26 November in Tbilisi, Georgia. Her Junior Eurovision entry is called Speak Up! We caught up with the singer as she makes her final preparations ahead of the competition.

When it was announced that Isabella would represent Australia at Junior Eurovision she called it a "dream come true" and is excited to take to the stage. "I’m also looking forward to visiting Georgia for the first time and meeting all the other performers and I hope I do my family and Australia proud," she said.

Isabella speaks up

Isabella's song for Junior Eurovision is called Speak Up! "The meaning of the song is about speaking up and voicing your opinion, believing in yourself. Especially being young women or young girls, being able to say what you want to say in life," said Isabella. 

When asked about life in Australia the young singer states that she feels lucky to live there. "You can go to the beach and within a day's drive you can go to the rainforest. Everyone in Australia is so friendly, it's such a multicultural country and so diverse."
