Gaia Gambuzza will represent Malta at Junior Eurovision 2022
Malta has spoken! The studio jury and televoters at home have decided to send Gaia Gambuzza to Junior Eurovision in Armenia later this year.
The competition was fierce! 16 acts (as many as there are taking part in Yerevan) battled it out for honour of representing the island nation.
Gaia was crowned champion with her song Diamonds In The Skies, while Andrea Camilleri finished in second place, and Emma Kate Formosa in third.
Gaia will follow in the footsteps of Ike & Kaya, who finished 12th in Paris last year with My Home.
Malta is one of the most successful Junior Eurovision nations, having won the Contest twice thanks to Gaia Cauchi (2013) and Destiny Chukunyere (2015).
