Executive Supervisor Vladislav Yakovlev surprised Junior Eurovision fans last night, by announcing on twitter that MRT, the official broadcaster of the FYR Macedonia, will return to the competition this year. FYR Macedonia last participated in Kyiv in 2013, however was part of the first contest in 2003. The country has taken part in 11 editions to date - one of the highest number among participating countries.
Next week the broadcaster will announce more details about their selection process. In the past, MRT has organised national selections but in 2013 selected singer Barbara Popovic internally.
