First Irish finalist chosen - David Kennedy

12 October 2015 at 00:29 CEST

Eight acts took to the stage in tonight's semifinal, with only one place in the final available at the end of the show. After all of them had performed, it was over to judges Brian, Niamh, and Stiofán, to cast the all-important votes.

David Kennedy was the lucky qualifier from this evening's show. The 13-year old, who comes from Eyrecourt in County Galway, performed "Fuar" - written by herself and Emma O’ Reilly. Lisa-Rose McMahon finished as runner up, after both acts were called forward by the judges for the final vote - however David won the vote by 2-1.

Junior Eurovision Éire continues at the same time next Sunday, 21:30 CET, with another eight acts on stage!
