After a day of auditions organised by SVT, 20 acts have been reduced to just eight who will compete to represent Sweden in the 2014 Junior Eurovision Song Contest.
Auditions were held on 5 April, in front of a jury comprising of Linnéa Wikblad, Tine Matulessy and Christer Björkman. Together, they selected the eight finalists, who are:

- Skyscraper (group)
- Vilman Larsson (12)
- Kevin Körber (13)
- Felxi Laurent (12)
- Ella Rammelt (11)
- Tove Burman (15)
- Paulina Pancenkov (14)
Lilla Melodifestivalen is scheduled to take place on 6 June, live on Sveriges Radio. It will be broadcast on television later in the year.
In last year's competition, Eliias sang "Det är dit vi ska" and finished in ninth place.
