Exclusive: Casting of the hosts

Applications have come not only from all regions of Belarus but a lot of resumes were sent by people, who are currently studying, living or are spending their summer vacation abroad, but in any moment are ready to drop everything and come to Minsk.

"The age of the young people who sent in their applications and wanted to become a part of the great show is from 18 to 30 years," - BTRC said.

The casting for the hosts took place in several stages: all candidates had to demonstrate not only an excellent knowledge of English or French, but the ability to stay on the stage, dancing, working in a frame and a lot of improvisation.

Sergey Rybakov, the Creative Manager of of the contest: "We have to be ready for everything. During the show our hosts have to work live, on air. That's why we decided to invent a lot of difficult situations. And I want to add that most of our candidates are rather good!"

Many Belarusian celebrities, Olga Barabanschikova, former representatives of the country at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, Olga Satsyuk and Ksenia Sitnik were involved in the casting.  

But the name and maybe names of the hosts will be known in autumn, when the expert group of BTRC will examine all videos with all applicants and will select the best of the best. 

It's also possible that some participants who take part in the casting, will be invited to work in this project as translators, managers and volunteers. 

The 8th Junior Eurovision Song Contest will take place on the 20th of November in Minsk, capital of Belarus.
