Dominik Arim will sing for Poland in Madrid
29 September 2024 at 19:15 CESTPoland has its song and its singer for Madrid 2024!
Dominik Arim will be performing All Together at Junior Eurovision in November, after winning the latest series of Szansa na Sukces: Eurowizja Junior.
Sunday 29 September saw the final of Szansa na Sukces: Eurowizja Junior play out on Polish TV.
5 young singers competed for votes by performing classic Eurovision songs. Once they'd all showcased their star potential on stage, a top two was announced - Dominik Arim and Aleksandra Antoniak.
Both performers then gave a rendition of Poland's song for Junior Eurovision 2024, All Together. A public vote was re-opened, with Dominik Arim emerging as the champion once votes had been counted.
Dominik will now sing for Poland in Madrid, becoming the 11th performer to represent the country at Junior Eurovision.
The 11-year-old singer lives in Pomerania, where he is currently learning to play the trumpet at the Witold Lutosławski Music School in Starogard Gdanski.
He also started learning to play piano and he loves dancing (having developed his skills in the band Szalone Małolaty), but singing remains Dominik's greatest passion.
The young performer spends his free time outside of school quite actively, whether it's playing football, riding his bike or having fun on the slides at his local water park.
Dominik's favourite sport, however, is karate. The singer trained in it for 5 years, and he's even earned an orange belt!
When the weather is not so great for going outside and being active, Dominik loves to read books and play games. He also enjoys helping his parents in the garden and playing with his sister Julia and his dog Butek.
In its 10-year Junior Eurovision history to date, Poland has won the Contest twice - in 2018 with Anyone I Want To Be performed by Roksana Węgiel, and then one year later in 2019, when Viki Gabor triumphed with Superhero.
Poland has also hosted Junior Eurovision twice - in 2019 and in 2020.
Junior Eurovision returns on Saturday 16 November, and you can help decide the winner when voting opens at JESC.tv
