BNT and bTV prepare for next stages of Bulgarian Selection

After the initial submission phase organised jointly by BNT and bTV, the two Bulgarian broadcasters are now working together on the next stages of selecting their entry for Sofia. As of 17 August, bTV will begin showing video highlights from the auditions stage, ultimately leading up to a semifinal. In the semifinal stage, 24 acts will take part - with the date to be announced soon. From here, 12 acts will qualify for the national final - why 8 being chosen by a professional jury, and 4 being selected by the public through both SMS and online voting.The people behind last year's entry "Planet of the Children", Slavi Trifonov, Evgeni Dimitrov, will be on the jury, together with a representative from BNT.

"I have already achieved my dream to sing in front of so many people. Now it’s time for other Bulgarian kids to make their dream come true" says Krisia, who last year took back the runners-up trophy back to Sofia. "I want Europe to see once again that Bulgaria has something to be proud of."
