Andria Putkaradze has won Junior Eurovision 2024 for Georgia
16 November 2024 at 20:02 CETAfter 17 magical performances at the Caja Mágica, we have a winner!
11 year old Andria Putkaradze from Georgia scored victory at Junior Eurovision 2024 in a live broadcast from Madrid. His song To My Mom took the win with a score of 239 points.
That result ties as Georgia's highest ever points tally, equalling the 239 points that the country achieved in 2016, thanks to Mariam Mamadashvili and her song Mzeo.
The winner of Junior Eurovision 2024 was decided by both a public vote and a jury vote. To My Mom picked up 180 points from the jury, and a further 59 points from the online vote awarded by viewers.
Andria's triumph for Georgia gives his country its 4th win, making Georgia the most successful country in Junior Eurovision history.
In earning the victory, Georgia managed to pick up the top set of 12 points from 12 of the 17 juries.
Finishing runner up is Portugal, with the song Esperança. Its singer, Victoria Nicole, has given Portgal its best ever result at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest. Esperança ended the night on 213 points.
In third place, we had Ukraine, thanks to a performance of HEAR ME NOW by Artem Kotenko. It is Ukraine's best result at Junior Eurovision in over a decade.
For his presentation of To My Mom, Andria Putkaradze was joined on stage by another talented young performer.
Gabriel Machabeli is the gifted dancer that you see moving skillfully beside Andria in Georgia's winning Junior Eurovision performance.
Andria was born in the beautiful Black Sea city of Batumi, Georgia.
He began singing at the age of two, later becoming a member of the vocal ensemble group ‘Children of the Sea’ before studying piano at the Zakaria Paliashvili Music School.
Already an accomplished musician, his greatest achievement so far is winning broadcaster GPB’s much-loved RANINA televised talent contest.
When he’s not busy performing, Andria can be found playing PlayStation with his friends.
