21 October 2016 at 17:00 CEST

In just a few short weeks delegations from 17 countries will arrive in Malta for the 14th Junior Eurovision Song Contest. This is the second time in three years that Malta has won and hosted the event which will take place on a Sunday afternoon for the first time.

This coming weekend a concert will take place in Belarus with many previous Junior Eurovision stars. The charity event will also feature Alexander Minenok who will represent Belarus at the 2016 Junior Eurovision Song Contest.

Over the summer Host Broadcaster PBS Malta has been busy preparing for the live extravaganza which will be held in Valletta's Mediterranean Conference Centre. Over the coming weeks we will announce more details about the interval acts, presenters, the expert panel and of course, information about tickets to the live show!

Malta was offered the honour of hosting the Junior Eurovision Song Contest following Destiny's victory in the 2015 contest with the song Not My Soul
