Health & Safety (download protocol)

In order to protect the health and safety of the artists and all those attending the event social distancing must be observed at all times.

Please make yourself aware of the strict health and safety protocol you must follow if you are accredited to the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2021. See further details below on specific regulations onsite.

All those attending the event must present a valid health pass to enter La Seine Musicale, even with an accreditation.

Should you need a test for your Health Pass a list of pharmacies where COVID-19 tests can be performed near La Seine Musicale will be available from the Information Desk.

In France COVID-19 screening tests are chargeable.

We ask you to take all necessary precautions ahead of the event.

In addition to the health pass and to comply with French obligations, the Press Centre will be reduced in capacity (200 accredited journalists) but not in size, in order to facilitate social distancing.

For journalists, the following additional guidelines and instructions apply:

  • Social distancing (1.5 metres) should be practiced during interviews and standups.

  • Microphones should be placed on a table or on a stick or boom pole.

  • It is not allowed to ask artists to put on lavalier or similar microphones, or to offer to do it for them.

For logistical reasons (routing, cleaning and ventilation) we urge users to cap the usage of interview rooms and radio studios at 15 minutes

Additional measures will be implemented at the Press Centre:

  • Broad walkways, one-way routing and signage to facilitate social distancing.

  • Interview rooms with limited access (to be approved by Head of Press)

  • Press Conference Room with possibilities to socially distance: wearing a mask is mandatory for all journalists inside the room.

Handbook

A media handbook will not be published this year but an official programme will be made available shortly.

Press policy and rules

All journalists reporting on the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2021 are asked to follow these rules:

  • All forms of press contact must be handled by the participating broadcasters in such a way that young artists are not out of their depth or placed in situations in which they cannot cope. The Head of Delegation or Head of Press shall be the sole point of contact vis-à-vis the press.

  • Press members must contact the Heads of Delegation or Heads of Press with all requests for interviews and photoshoots.

  • It is prohibited to film or broadcast the whole show in any way without written permission from the EBU.

Video usage

Online media are welcome to embed videos from the official YouTube channel of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest for editorial use when reporting on the Junior Eurovision Song Contest only.

Copying the footage for re-use on YouTube and/or on other platforms is strictly prohibited.
