Malta hosted the 2014 Junior Eurovision Song Contest on Saturday 15 November. Just like in 2011 and 2013, the Junior Eurovision Song Contest took place in the previous year’s winning country.

The 2014 Junior Eurovision Song Contest had a slogan: #Together, and its logo was inspired by the Maltese cross.

16 countries took part in 2014 including debuts from Montenegro, Slovenia and eventual winner, Italy. The winning song, Tu Primo Grande Amore, was performed by Vincenzo Cantiello. Bulgaria finished second with Armenia in third place.
