Alicja Rega
Alicja Rega will represent Poland in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Tbilisi. Alicja studies at the Vogal Art Centre at Rzeszów and took part in many festivals and vocal contests in Poland and abroad. Previously she won a TV programme called 'Mali Giganci' (The Small Giants) in the category Best Voice. She reached second place in a talent show called 'Hit Hit Hurra!' and has won awards in Lithuania, Malta, Russia, Estonia, Bulgaria, Germany and the Czech Republic.The most important things in life to Alicja are her family and music. She gets her inspiration from jazz and classical music, and relaxes by crossing forests and travelling off the beaten track. She also likes cycling, skating and snowboarding and loves animals, mostly cats. During the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, she will represent Poland with a song called Mój Dom (My Home). Alicja hopes to encourage listeners to reflect during her song.
About the song writers and composers
Marek Kościkiewicz is a musician, vocalist, composer, songwriter and music producer. He was the founding member and leader of the Polish rock group De Mono. Marek was the author of the band’s greatest hits including Kochać inaczej (To love otherwise), Statki na niebie (The ships on the sky), Znów jesteś ze mną (You are with me, again) as well as Kamień i aksamit (The stone and the velvet). Marek is a graduate of the Academy of Arts in Warsaw and in addition to rock music, he also writes music for advertisements and films. Some of his film credits include Szczęśliwego Nowego Jorku (Happy New York), Haker (The Hacker), Demony wojny (The Demons of War). Marek also composes and writes songs for famous Polish artists including Artur Gadowski, Varius Manx, Krzysztof Krawczyk, Justyna Steczkowska, Krzysztof Cugowski and Rafał Brzozowski. His song written for Antek Smykiewicz, Pomimo Burz, has received over 37 million views on YouTube.
