Mariam Kakhelishvili
On the 12th of September, 2010 the Georgian national final revealed a winner; a 14-year-old Mariam Kakhelishvili, who will represent Georgia at the final of this year's Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Minsk.Born on the 9th of October, 1995 she started singing at age of 3. Her first stage appearance at a vocal competition took place when she was only 5. There she received her very fist award after having impressed the jury with her high range and subtle voice.
At age 12 she traveled to Egypt where took part in Junior Song International Festival in 2007 where she also got a special award for her talent.
In 2008 Mari Kakhelisvhili participated in the national final for the 2008 Junior Eurovision Song Contest and was awarded with the second prize. The winner of that year's contest went on to win the European contest later on in Cyprus!
In 2010, she was one of the youngest participants of the project - Georgia's Got Talent (Nichieri), where she absolutely shocked the professional jury with her deep understanding and interpretation of the famous hit by Beyonce - Listen, she therefore became a winner of the third prize.
The same year Mariam was presented at the national selection with the Song - Mari Dari, where she demonstrated her powerful voice, wide range and vigour.
The co-writer of the song, Giiorgi Kukhianidze – a composer, arranger, and producer – has been involved in show business for already 15 years.
His activity covers various spheres like composing, sound recording, audio and video material production, image making, event and PR management. He owns three studios – sound record studio; design studio, video production studio.
Kukhianidze provides entire package of services to famous Georgian artists as well as discovers and promotes young talents.
He specialises in jazz rock, pop, soul and techno music. His songs has often become hits in the country. Today he focuses on his BZIKEBI studio, named after Bzikebi, the winner group of the 2008 Junior Eurovision Song Contest!
